Whether you’re on your feet all day, or sitting at a desk for hours on end, there are simple things you can do to look after your back, legs and feet, and improve your overall health.
In this Tom Talk, Tom explains why basic movement is essential to your wellbeing and how you can add it to your everyday life, starting today! Watch the video and challenge yourself to take up Tom’s Task (watch til the end!) to help improve your health.
If you are on your feet all day, on site or walking hospital corridors, there are simple ways you can avoid pain and injury. Make sure you have the right shoes for your job, take regular breaks (mental and physical ones) and give your body time to recover after work.
Others ways to look after your wellbeing while you’re at work include, regular hand washing, eat sensibly (think more colour, less plastic), drink plenty of water and declutter your work space. Did you know a clearer workspace can improve comfortability, increase creativity and boost your confidence?
And if you are experiencing ongoing issues, please seek advice from a health professional.
