Sydney safety issues due to water pressure cuts

A Sydney Water program to “help meet water conservation targets” has caused some Sydney suburbs to have their water pressure turned down.

A reduction in water pressure could affect your fire protection systems, including fire hoses and sprinklers and result in flow test failures on hydrants and sprinkler systems.

Systems that no longer pass the flow test, because of a reduction in pressure and flow, may require an upgrade.

The “Water pressure management project” has been cutting the pressure in areas including Hunters Hill down to Woolwich, Pymble, Newport, Mount Terry and Berkeley.

If you would like to meet to discuss this issue further, please contact your Form1 office.
